Pivotal Roofing was founded in 2013 on a simple, slightly old-fashioned idea: tell people the truth about their roof, charge a fair price, and do the work right the first time.

Who we are

We're a CSLB-licensed (C-39) and insured roofing contractor, locally owned & operated and based at 270 McAllister St in San Francisco, serving the entire Bay Area since 2013. Our crews work on the full range of roofs this region actually has: flat torch-down and TPO membranes on the city's Victorian and Edwardian rowhouses, architectural shingle across the Peninsula, East Bay and North Bay, Eichler low-slope roofs, Spanish tile on the South Bay's revival homes, and Class-A fire-rated assemblies where wildfire code demands them.

Meet the owner

Frank Gordon — Owner. Frank has led Pivotal Roofing since 2013, building the company around honest written pricing, financing, and roofs done right the first time. He stands behind every estimate we give, and the rest of the team stays deliberately simple: our estimators inspect and quote, our crews do the work, and nobody earns a commission for talking you into a bigger job than you need.

How we're built

Our estimators inspect the roof themselves and put an honest, itemized number in writing before any work begins — no commissioned closers, no scare tactics. Our crews are the ones on Bay Area roofs week in and week out: parapet and seam work in the city, tile lift-and-relays on the Peninsula, storm repairs from the Coastside to the North Bay. What "done right" means here

It also means honest advice — including telling you a repair will do when a replacement isn't needed, even when the smaller job is better for you than for us.
